Lollapalooza India: American DJ Diplo, rock band ‘The Strokes’ and Indian rapper ‘Divine’ enthralled the audience on the final day of global music festival ‘Lollapalooza’ here on Sunday. The Strokes performed classics like ‘Last Night’ and ‘Take It or Leave It’. “I saw ‘Pathan’ last night and I’m so inspired”, said Julian Casablancas, lead singer of the rock band, during his time on stage. A crowd of thousands attended the concert at Mahalaxmi Racecourse to listen to their favorite artistes.

Diplo was seen in a black sweatshirt with former Miss World Aishwarya Rai’s name and pictures printed on the front. They played several hits including ‘Lean On’ and ‘Where Are You Now’. He also sang the Punjabi song ‘Mundiyaan Tu Bach Ke’ during his 90-minute performance.

Indian rapper ‘Divine’ enthralled everyone with songs like ‘Mirchi’, ‘Kaam Pakde’ and ‘Baazigar’. The rapper also paid tribute to late rapper Sidhu Musewala by playing a song. “I’m blessed to be working with Sidhu, we will not let the music die”, said Divine in the middle of his performance.

K-pop star Jackson Wang landed in Mumbai on Saturday and has been grabbing attention ever since he greeted his Indian fans with a ‘namaste’.

He performed some of his biggest hits like ‘Go Ghost’ and ‘Come Alive’.

The opening performance on Sunday was by Adya followed by Apache, Parimal Shays and Raveena. Bollywood celebs including actors Hrithik Roshan, Sussanne Khan, Kajol, Raj Kumar RaoPatralekhaa and Huma Qureshi cheered on their favorite actors among others.

Highlights of the final day of the two-day event included performances by US-based band ‘Cigarettes After Sex’ and Indian singer and songwriter Prateek Kuhad. At least 40 artists performed at the festival on four stages over two days.
