Taapsee Pannu, who attended the premiere of her upcoming film Dobara at the London Film Festival 2022, was seen wearing an uber chic trench coat atop the co-ord set. She was accompanied by the film’s director Anurag Kashyap and co-star Pavail Gulati.
Excited to be a part of the film festival, Taapsee posted several pictures on Instagram and wrote: Last night here in London…..Thank you for the love #Dobaaraa received from the audience for the first time. #LIFF (sic). The actress also took to the streets and posed for pictures in her stylish avatar.
The Shabaash Mithu actor’s outfit was put together by celebrity stylists Devki Bhatt and Kritika Sharma. The highlight of this stylish look was a jute mirror trench coat from Dash & Dot which the actor teamed up with an embroidered denim co-ord set from the brand. Taapsee accessorised with a gold OH poppy lever necklace designed by Outhouse Jewellery.
So, what’s so interesting about this trench coat? Well, it was made from upcycled jute sacks. The trendy and chic coat also featured applied hand and mirror embroidery. She paired the minimalist coat with a co-ord set made of tencel denim fabric and enhanced it with multi-colour placement embroidery.
A fun chic ensemble, the co-ord set features a triangular fitted bralette with multi-color floral embroidery on soft summer tensel denim fabric. This included adjustable straps and a smoked panel at the back. The high-waisted denim pants with a tapered fit also featured colorful placement embroidery.
Speaking about the ensemble, celebrity stylist Devki Bhatt says, “The ensemble is a perfect blend of East and West, combining Indian mirror work on jackets and embroidery with strong western silhouettes such as trench coats, trousers and crop tops. . Making it an obvious choice for an event to celebrate two cultures in the arts.”
From Indian crafts to unique fluid silhouettes, Taapsee’s style quotient has always been a prime mix of contemporary and traditional styles. Embroidery and embellishments have been a big craze in Taapsee’s fashion choice.
This is not the first time that Taapsee has included sustainable wear in her stylish look. In the past, the actor has celebrated sustainable fashion with embellished designs created by Indian designers. In one of her red-carpet appearances, Taapsee wore an upcycled colored outfit made from brocade scraps designed by Ashwin Thiagarajan and for a photoshoot the actor posed in a revitalized nylon Econil bodysuit designed by Blonie Atelier.
