“This budget has turned out to be another disaster that has befallen the people of Kerala, who were badly hit by the pandemic and natural calamities. This budget will affect the normal life of the people and harm the economy of the state.”

Presenting the Budget, the Finance Minister had on Friday said that a social security cess was proposed to be imposed on the sale of Made in India Foreign Liquor (IMFL) and petrol and diesel, which will continue to protect the decent living of the country’s weaker sections. as a commitment to keep. Society.

The budget proposes to levy a social security cess at the rate of Rs 2 per liter on the sale of petrol and diesel.
