Probably one of the oldest and most famous eateries in the city, Taza Kitchen serves thousands of customers throughout the day. It is located in Madhapur and its doors open at 7 am. Fresh Kitchen has a very limited menu, but each dish has its own flavor. The eateries serve Dosa, Vada, Idli, Saffron Bath, Khara Bath, Chow Chow Bath, Grape Juice, Almond Milk, Tea and Coffee with prices starting from Rs. 15, ranging up to Rs. 60. What attracted us the most is their cleanliness and QSR-like approach. This place is a must try for some crispy vadas and melt in the mouth idlis.

2. Babai Hotel (Our Recommendation):

Established in 1942, Babai Hotel is known for serving the softest idlis. It is said that the eatery follows the 80 year old style of making their idlis which are puffed. These idlis are then soaked in ghee and served with fresh churning of butter on top. This special thali, also known as Babai Idli, is served with podi, chutney and sambar. This place opens at 7.45 am and lasts till 11.30 am. It then opens at 5.45 pm and closes at 10.15 pm. Apart from Babai Idli, this place also serves a variety of dishes.

3. Clean:

Another South Indian eatery located in Madhapur, Swachh opens at 6 in the morning and lasts till 12 noon. It then opens at 5.30 pm and closes at 10.30 pm. Like Taza Kitchen, this place is also pocket-friendly but has more variety to try. From upma and idli to pongal and mirchi bhajji, you will find a variety of dishes to satiate your hunger pangs. What we loved about this humble eatery is its decor. With pottery and traditional wall art, this place is an instant hit.

4. Pragati Tiffin Center:

If you want to enjoy some delicious dosas for breakfast, Pragati Tiffin Center is the place to visit. It is located near Pragati College on HVS Road and opens at 6.30 am. From freshly made idlis to a variety of dosas including butter masala dosa and special dosa, you are served food here on banana leaves to make it even more sustainable and eco-friendly.

5. Saurabhi Kitchen:

Located in Hafeezpet, this place opens at 7am and has an extensive menu to explore. The price here starts from around Rs 10,000. 50 and range up to Rs. 120. Though you will find regular dosas and idlis on the menu, what you must try are their specials. The must try ones here are Press Bonda, Seema Karam Dosa and Kaju Dosa.
