Does ragi lower blood sugar?

Ragi is rich in fiber and rich in nutrients, which makes it highly beneficial for people suffering from diabetes. Several studies have shown that it helps stabilize blood sugar levels and relieves oxidative stress associated with diabetes. It also helps in keeping our cravings at bay and maintains the speed of digestion.

Ragi Dosa Recipe: How To Make Ragi Dosa

First of all, take a large bowl and add ragi flour, rice flour, coriander leaves, green chillies, onions and salt. Mix well. Make a thick batter by adding water gradually. Keep aside for two hours.

To make the tempering, heat oil in a pan and add mustard seeds, cumin seeds and curry leaves. When it starts spluttering, add the tempering to the batter. Now heat a non-stick tava (griddle) on low flame and grease it with oil. When hot, pour a ladleful of batter and spread evenly using circular motion to make a thin dosa.

Let it cook on one side. Drizzle a little oil on the edges while cooking. When crispy, turn over and cook on the other side as well. serve hot! Ragi dosa is ready!
