Lucknow schools closed amid cold wave, classes 9 to 12 will be online

Schools have been directed to conduct online classes for students of classes 9 to 12 who do not have pre-board exams or practical exams from January 12 to January 14, 2023.

In view of the cold wave conditions, schools in Lucknow have been directed to remain closed till January 14. Lucknow District Magistrate Surya Pal Gangwar has said in an official letter that schools up to class 8 will remain closed till January 14. Board exam or practical exam from 12 January to 14 January 2023.

DM Lucknow has instructed the schools to strictly follow the order. According to the order issued by the DM, “There will be a holiday for students up to class 8 till January 14, 2023. Classes will open for students from classes 9 to 12 who do not have pre board/practical exams. Instead of calling them to school Conducted online. If there is no online arrangement, leave will be given to such students from classes 9 to 12.

To avoid academic gap, schools have been ordered to make some arrangements for class 10 and class 12 students who have pre board/practical exams.

It will be the responsibility of the school management to make adequate arrangements to prevent cold in the classrooms of the students and ensure that heaters etc. are used to maintain normal temperature in each room. Students will not be made to sit outside or in the open for classes/practical examinations.

There should be no compulsion on the students to wear school uniform. It is advised that students should go to school wearing only warm clothes that are capable of protecting them from the cold.
