Vidisha: Three teenagers drowned in water from a fountain located near Halali dam in Vidisha district of Madhya Pradesh on Sunday. police gave this information.
The deceased, Amit Patel (17), Mohit Sharma (18) and Abhya Sharma (19), who belonged to Bhopal’s Ashok Nagar area, had gone to the spot for a picnic, which is about 30 km from the district headquarters, Kararia. Station Inspector Aruna Singh told PTI-Bhasha.
“They were taking a bath under the fountain when they drowned. One of the boys first started drowning in the water of the fountain and two of his friends ran to save him. However, all three of them drowned in the process. The incident took place under Khamkheda. Police Chowki area,” he said.
Singh said the bodies of the three victims were later retrieved and sent to the district hospital for post-mortem.
