Maha: BJP’s Nupur Sharma booked for ‘objectionable’ remarks against Prophet Muhammad in Thane

Thane police in Maharashtra on Monday registered a case against BJP leader Nupur Sharma for his alleged objectionable remarks against Prophet Muhammad during a televised news debate. An official gave this information. Mumbra police station senior inspector Ashok Kadlag said Sharma has been booked under sections 298, 294, 153A and 505B of the IPC for hurting religious sentiments and other offences.
