Maharashtra Congress files police complaint for posting fake content about Rahul

Mumbai:

The Maharashtra unit of the Congress has filed a police complaint against two persons for allegedly uploading fake and fabricated stories on social media about party leader Rahul Gandhi and the ongoing ‘Bharat Jodo Yatra’. In the complaint, a demand has been made to register an FIR. An official gave this information on Monday.

He told that the president of the law and human wing of the state Congress has lodged a complaint at the Colaba police station in South Mumbai.

As per the complaint, two persons posted fake content on social media platforms with an intention to defame Rahul Gandhi and create social liability in the Life of Bharat Jodo Yatra.

According to the official, in this complaint, a request has been made to register an FIR against these two persons under documents related to IPC and Information Technology Act.
