Maharashtra HSC students will get extra marks, thanks to Ratan Tata

The Class 12 students of Maharashtra Board will get another mark as a gift in their exams, and it is due to none other than Tata Group chief Ratan Tata. It may sound strange to you, but the board has decided that class 12 students in Maharashtra will get an extra mark in their English paper because of ‘Ratan Tata’.

In the Maharashtra Board Class 12 English question paper, students were asked to make ‘simple sentences’. For sentencing, the board cited a quote from Tata Group chief Ratan Tata, although those words were based on WhatsApp forwards. Several years ago, Ratan Tata had categorically clarified that this was not his ‘quote’.

After the mistake came to light, the board has decided that the students who attempted to answer the question will be given one mark.

What was the ‘quote’?

This quote, which is going viral on social media in the name of ‘Ratan Tata’, says, ‘I do not believe in taking right decisions, take decisions and correct them.

However, many years ago Ratan Tata himself has categorically refused to say these words.

Seven years ago, the HEC Business School of Paris, France awarded the ‘Degree of Honoris Causa’. During this program, in the question-and-answer session, a question was asked to Ratan Tata regarding this quote.

At that time he had made it clear that this was not his ‘quote’. Not only this, at that time the head of the Tata group had said that many things are publicized on social media blaming him.

Now one mark will be given as ‘gift’

The Maharashtra Board of Education is on the backfoot after throwing so much mud at Ratan Tata for the bid. Now as a face saver, the board has decided to give one mark to all the students who have attempted to answer this question. So, it is going to help all those students who were not included in the list of passed students due to lack of one mark.
