Maharashtra man lynched by cow vigilantes in Madhya Pradesh. Nagpur News – Times of India

BHOPAL: Three men from Maharashtra, who were allegedly transporting cattle illegally in a truck, were stopped and brutally thrashed by a mob in Narmadapuram district in the early hours of Wednesday. One of them died and two others are undergoing treatment.
Police have registered a case of murder and are looking for the attackers. The lynching has created tension in the Seoni-Malwa area of ​​the district, prompting Collector Neeraj Kumar Singh to order deployment of additional police force in rural areas.
All three victims are residents of Amravati in Maharashtra. The deceased person has been identified as Nazir Ahmed and the other two as Sheikh Lala and Mushtaq.
Sources say that they were taking 28 cows to Amravati in a truck when they were stopped by 10-15 people in a village on the suspicion that they were taking the cattle to the slaughterhouse. Both the survivors have told the police that they were attacked without any reason.
Some villagers informed the police about the mob attack and a patrol team reached the spot. The three men were rescued and taken to the hospital where Nazir died. SP Gurkaran Singh told media persons that the three were illegally transporting cows when they were attacked. “We have registered two FIRs for murder and illegal transportation of cows,” he said.
