Maharashtra RTE Admission 2022: Revised schedule out, admission process to start from February 16

Maharashtra’s School Education and Sports Department has released the revised schedule for Maharashtra Right to Education (RTE) admission dates. According to the new schedule, the admission process which was earlier started from 1st February will now start from 16th February. The process will start on the official portal of the department at student.maharashtra.gov.in.

Maharashtra School Education Minister Varsha Gaikwad shared the tentative schedule in a tweet in Marathi, which translates to, “Important Note: The tentative schedule of RTE 25 percent admission process for the academic year 2022-23 has been published. Accordingly, from Wednesday 16 February 2022, parents will be able to fill the online application.”

Under Maharashtra RTE Admission, 25 per cent seats in private schools are reserved for students from economically backward classes as per the provision of Right to Education Act. This scheme was implemented to provide affordable quality education to the students who have to deal with financial constraints.
