Mahindra Born electric SUV revealed: BE.05, BE.07, BE.09, XUV.e8 and XUV.e9 – Times of India

Mahindra & Mahindra has finally revealed the much-awaited Born Electric Today’s range of SUV concepts. The carmaker has introduced two different electric sub-brands called Electrifying Twin Peaks (XUV) and BE. The former will take advantage of their existing platforms, while the latter is a completely new project.
Mahindra has also confirmed the launch of its new INGLO electric platform which will be Upcoming Electric SUV, Mahindra claims that the new architecture has endless adaptability, thanks to its modular and scalable design. It can host variable lengths, widths, wheelbases and overhangs.

The company claims that the battery packs on this platform can range from 60 to 80 kWh. The lightweight skateboard platform is designed to take a 175 kW fast charge with a 0 to 80% charge in less than 30 minutes!
Mahindra has revealed that the power output of the single-motor rear-mounted electric motor will be 170 kW, while the all-wheel drive dual-motor setup will produce 250 kW of power. Mahindra claims that the electric motor setup can get you from 0 to 100 kmph in less than 6 seconds, but we believe this number is only for the dual-motor setup.

Mahindra XUV.e9 and XUV.e8 Electric SUVs

The company says that it is aiming to provide a 5-star Global NCAP crash test safety rating for vehicles built on this platform. In addition, the Electrifying Twin Peaks (XUV) sub-brand will host three vehicles, namely the XUV.e8 SUV and the XUV.e9 SUV coupe – both likely to be based on existing Mahindra cars. While the former is expected to be an electrified version of the XUV700, the latter could be an EV version of the rumored XUV900 coupe.
On the other hand, three concepts have emerged under the BE brand, i.e. BE.05, BE.07, BE.09. Compared to the XUV.e8 and XUV.e9 concepts, the BE models look a bit more compact in size. The BE.07 is designed to be an SUV, while the other two have a coupe design as well. Slim LED DRLs and LED tail lights are common across all five concept vehicles, along with chunky alloy wheels that come with zero-drag wheel bearings.
The new design language for these electric SUVs is being called ‘heart core’. The SUVs are equipped with an edge-to-edge display on the inside, an artificial reality (AR) heads-up display, large glass roofs, Level 2+ ADAS technology, drive and terrain response modes, as well as the ability to charge the car. your home appliances.
