Mahindra XUV700 bookings cross 1.5 lakh units, waiting for 1 lakh deliveries

Mahindra took its time to introduce a new three-row XUV in the Indian market. It was only after a good long decade that the Mahindra XUV700, the spiritual successor to the Mahindra XUV500, entered our market. While Mahindra’s efforts were delayed a bit, the SUV is receiving a strong response from the buyers. Well, this is undoubtedly a superhit product of the Indian brand. Booking numbers also copy the same. Mahindra XUV700 has received over 1.5 lakh bookings within just 10 months from its official launch. In fact, the SUV received 50,000 orders in just three hours, when the bookings initially started.

As of now, Mahindra has given around 50,000 examples of the XUV700 in the country, and the carmaker does not have around one lakh bookings available. Talking about the waiting period, the delivery waiting period for select variants of the SUV gets extended up to one year. As a result, the model is enjoying a strong performance in the used car market as well. The less used model can be seen selling for almost the same on-road price as the original. In fact, some buyers are even charging a premium on their used examples.
