Main accused of Udaipur teacher recruitment paper leak arrested at Bengaluru airport

In December last year, a total of 55 people, including 37 candidates, were arrested in the grade-2 teacher recruitment paper leak case.

Rajasthan Police on Thursday detained Bhupendra Saran, one of the main accused in Grade-2 teacher recruitment exam paper leak case, from Bengaluru airport.

Teams of ATS, SOG and Jodhpur Rural were camping in Bengaluru for the last six days to gather information about Saran. Saran was taken into custody at the Bengaluru airport today after getting concrete evidence about his movement, an official statement said.

Saran was handed over to the Udaipur police as the paper leak case was registered in Udaipur. The CISF team was instrumental in his arrest, the statement said.

In December last year, a total of 55 people, including 37 candidates, were arrested in the grade-2 teacher recruitment paper leak case.

A bus carrying examinees to take the exam was stopped by the Udaipur police. All were arrested after the question paper was recovered on search.

Bhupendra Saran and Suresh Dhaka have been identified as the key players behind the paper leak.

The enforcement wing of the Jaipur Development Authority (JDA) had earlier demolished the illegal construction done at Saran’s house while taking action against the paper leak gang.
