A 46-year-old man of Aranthangi Akhil Mahila police station area was arrested on Saturday for raping a five-year-old girl in his neighbourhood.
Accused K. Saravanan had allegedly committed the crime on Friday afternoon when his parents left him and went to the hospital. On Saturday, acting on the complaint of the victim’s father, Arantangi All Women Police arrested Saravanan by registering a case against him under the POCSO Act.
