Man attacked Vijay Sethupathi and team at Bengaluru airport, video went viral; Watch

A video clip showing an unsuccessful attempt by an unidentified man to assault popular Tamil actor Vijay Sethupathi at the Bengaluru airport is going viral on social media. While the actor was under tight security, an unidentified person came from behind and attacked him mercilessly.

Speaking to IANS, a source close to the actor said that the incident took place at the Bangalore airport in the early hours of Wednesday. Stating that the incident was not serious, the source said that the unidentified man, who was under the influence of alcohol, was creating a nuisance. Eventually, a minor argument broke out between the two sides after which the actor and his team decided to leave the place. However, the man is believed to have chased the actor and attempted to kick him.

The blow is believed to have come to one of those accompanying the actor. Police personnel moved swiftly to stop the man, while the actor was taken out safely.

The reason for this attack is not known. However, Vijay Sethupathi chose not to press charges and no police complaint was filed against the man.
