A man allegedly committed suicide after killing his wife and two children in Devkali village under Thana Golana area of Uttar Pradesh’s Gorakhpur district. The police gave this information on Sunday. According to the police, the local people informed the police after seeing smoke on Sunday from the house of the victim’s family in Devkali.

According to the police, the bodies of a partially born man and bodies of a woman and two children were found in the forest, the bodies of the woman and the children bore marks of sharp weapons on the neck and abdomen.
The deceased have been identified as Indra Kumar Maurya (42), his wife Sushila (38), daughter Chandni (10) and son Aryan (eight), he said.
According to police sources, Maurya was in debt and used to drink and gamble.
Grover said that the wildlife team conducted a secret inspection and the bodies were sent for post-mortem. He said that it seems that Indra Kumar first got his wives and children married and then set himself on fire. He informed that the matter is being investigated.
