Coimbatore: A 35-year-old man died after being hit by a section of concrete ceiling of House He fell on her at Bharathi Nagar Third Street in Coimbatore’s Ramanathapuram in the early hours of Saturday.
The deceased has been identified as K Vinoth Kannan. Police said he had been living in a rented house for the past eight years with his wife Sharu, 26, two daughters and father Krishnan, 60.
Vinoth Kannan was engaged in manufacturing of PVC (Polyvinyl Chloride) Doors for Homes and Offices.
He was sleeping under the fan in the hall of the house. A part of the concrete roof fell on him at around 1.45 am on Saturday. He died on the spot.
The relatives came out of the house and informed the neighbors and Ramanathapuram police.
Police sent the body to Coimbatore Medical College Hospital for postmortem. Further investigation was on.
