Man kneels for 21 hours amid rain in China, pleads with ex-girlfriend to return

According to the report, the man knelt outside the entrance of the building in Dazhou for 21 hours from 1 a.m. on March 28 to 10 a.m. the next day. Braving the rain and cold, he knelt outside his office with a bouquet of roses in hand, waiting for his ex to change her mind.

Meanwhile, locals gathered around him and urged him to give up his efforts, video media outlet Jiupai News reported.

”Many of us tried to talk him into leaving. It is not necessary to keep kneeling. Girlfriend not ready to show, but you’re still here, losing face,” a man with the surname Lee was quoted as saying.

The bizarre situation attracted so much attention that even the police reached the spot and tried to persuade her to leave. However, he was unmoved and asked the police, “Is it illegal for me to kneel here? If it is not illegal, please leave me alone.”

A police officer said that a few days ago his ex-girlfriend had broken up with him and he was apologizing.
