Everyone in the business world expects people to be on time; However, some individuals who feel they are dominated believe they are exempt from this rule.

A person who went for an interview felt similar lethargy on the part of the employer and left the interview after waiting for some time. The incident was posted on Reddit, where it was shared by the individual, creating a forum for discussion.

“I walked to the front door of the facility at 2:30 today, exactly when I was supposed to meet the director in the front lobby. I spoke to an employee who paged him, and I was told he would be up “in just a minute.”

“At 2:45, I just walked out and walked. 15 minutes. I know our industry, and there’s no good reason for me to wait more than a few minutes. I see that as a huge red flag.” Waving: “This is the company testing your patience because they want to be sure the candidate is desperate because they are going to abuse them.”

The post opened a reservoir of opposing views, which were displayed in the comments area.

“The interview for my current position started about 30 minutes late, but when I got there I was immediately informed there was an issue being worked on. So I waited in the lounge and eventually made it to my interview. The key point was someone immediately explained what was happening instead of me sitting there,” commented one user.

Another user wrote, “Yes, that makes sense. Communication, grace and professionalism are foreign concepts these days.”
