Mandya ready for Kumbh Mela | Mysuru News – Times of India

Mandya: The stage is set for four days Kumbh MelaHeld once in every five years near Ambigarahalli-Sangapura-Pura villages and officials expect a huge participation of devotees from across the country.
The ceremony will begin on Thursday and end on Sunday. Rituals will be led by Shri Nirmalanandnath seer Sri Adi Chunchanagiri Mutti and Sri Shivaratri Deshikendra Swami of Suttur Math in Mysore. A gathering of thousands of saints and saints will be seen in this religious program.
About six lakh devotees are expected to attend it. The district administration has made elaborate arrangements for everyone. Feather Triveni SangamSeparate bathing ghats have been made for the holy bath of saints, VVIPs and devotees.
About 100 counters are being set up UP Distribution of Prasad continuously from 7 am on all four days. Food will be provided to 2 lakh people every day. More than 150 bio-toilets have been installed. Special tents have been arranged for the stay of the sadhus.
Over 2,000 police personnel have been deployed to prevent any untoward incident during the event. About 40 acres of farmland has been identified for parking of vehicles. Parking will be allowed in eight sections including Ambigarahalli-03, Somanahalli-03, Alambadikavalu-01 and Dugudanahalli-01 on the outskirts of Sangma. About two acres of land has been earmarked for VVIP parking near the platform.
Mini buses will be run to take the guests, devotees, saints and sadhus from the parking lot to the event area, about 5 km away. A separate venue has been identified for Ganga Aarti and Laser Show to be held daily from 6.30 PM to 7.30 PM.
Mahadeshwar temple will be inaugurated on Thursday. In the presence of Nirmalanandnath seer and Shivratri Deshikendra seer, Rajya Sabha member and Dharmasthala Dharmadhikari Virendra Hegde will inaugurate the Kumbh Mela on Friday.
The next day there will be a meeting of saints and saints. Various cultural programs have been planned for the four days.
On Tuesday, district in-charge minister K Gopalaiah and sports and youth empowerment minister Narayan Gowda invited Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai and his predecessor BS Yediyurappa to the event.
UP CM will attend
Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath of the BJP is likely to take part in a ‘holy dip’ in the river on Sunday. Bommai is also expected to attend the closing ceremony.
