Fans are eagerly waiting for the trailer as Mani Ratnam’s epic drama Ponniyin Selvan I is just weeks away from its official release. According to the makers the audio and trailer will be unveiled today at the Nehru Indoor Stadium in Chennai. Superstar Rajinikanth and Ulaganayagan Kamal Haasan will both be the chief guests of the event. will attend the program Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Vikram, Trisha and others.
Mani Ratnam’s multilingual film Ponniyin Selvan will hit the theaters on September 30. Rajinikanth and Kamal Haasan will preside over the program as chief guests. Meanwhile, the songs will be performed live by composer AR Rahman and his orchestra, who wrote the soundtrack for the Tamil drama.
According to sources, Aishwarya Rai will attend the trailer and audio launch of ‘Ponniyin Selvan’ on September 6. This will be his first public appearance for a Tamil film after Rajinikanth’s Enthiran held in Malaysia in 2010.
Ponniyin Selvan is a historical drama based on the famous Tamil literary novel ‘Ponniyin Selvan’ by Kalki Krishnamurthy. Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Chiyan Vikram, Trisha, Kartik and Jayam Ravi all play lead roles in the film. The lead roles will be played by Prakash Raj, Aishwarya Lakshmi, Prabhu, Sarathkumar, R Parthiban and Shobhita Dhulipala. Ponniyin Selvan, as said earlier, will release in two parts. The sequel is most likely to come later this year.
