Punjab Elections: Former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh appealed to the people to vote for the Congress.

Ahead of the Punjab elections on Sunday, former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh today launched a rare and scathing attack on Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his government, accusing them of blaming Jawaharlal Nehru for every problem and said: “PM K The post has a special stature.”.
Manmohan Singh, 89, said that the Congress never divided the country for political gains and did not hide the truth.
“On one hand people are facing the problem of inflation and unemployment, on the other hand, the present government, which is in power for the last seven and a half years, instead of admitting its mistakes and rectifying them, first blame the Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru. For the problems of the people,” Dr Singh said in a video message played by the Congress.
“I think the position of the PM has a special significance. The PM should maintain dignity instead of blaming history. When I was the Prime Minister for 10 years, I spoke through my work. I have never I never let the country lose its prestige in front of the world. I have never diminished the pride of India.”
“I am at least satisfied that the BJP and its B&C-team are being exposed in front of the country after false allegations against me of being weak, quiet and corrupt.”
The two-time prime minister also accused the government of trying to suppress Chinese incursions along the Line of Actual Control.
“They (BJP-led government) have no understanding of economic policy. This issue is not limited to the country. This government has also failed in foreign policy. China is sitting on our border and trying to suppress it (infiltration) are leaving.” Dr. Singh said.
“I hope the PM understands that foreign policy cannot be done by forcibly hugging leaders, swinging on a swing or feeding biryani,” he said.
Dr Singh accused the BJP-led government of “fake nationalist and divisive policies” and said its foreign policy had failed.
“We never divided the country for vested political gains. We never tried to hide the truth. We never lowered the honor of the country or the status of the PM. Today people are being divided. Fake of this government Nationalism is hollow and dangerous. Their nationalism is based on divide and rule policy of the British. Constitutional institutions are being weakened.”
The former prime minister said, “There is selfishness and greed in the government’s economic policy”. “For their selfish interests, they are dividing people and fighting with them,” he said.
Singh also referred to the security breach in which PM Modi’s convoy was halted for 20 minutes at a flyover in Punjab due to farmers’ protest.
A few days ago, in the name of Prime Minister’s security, an attempt was made to defame Chief Minister Charanjit Singh Channi and the people of the state. Even during the peasant movement, an attempt was made to defame Punjab and Punjabiyat. The world salutes the bravery, patriotism and sacrifice of Punjabis, but the NDA government did not talk about it. As a true Indian from Punjab, all these things hurt me a lot.
