As a company, we aim to offer our customers safe, reliable, hygienic, technologically advanced and eco-friendly vehicles.”
A break-up of the carmaker’s cumulative sales shows that the financial year (FY) 2021-2022 has been the best ever with sales of over 2 lakh CNG vehicles till February 2022. The cumulative figure was 7.98 lakh units. end of financial year 2020-21.
The growth in CNG sales can be attributed to several factors including Maruti’s growing CNG vehicle portfolio, government initiatives to make the fuel more widely available and the promise of lower running costs than petrol cars. . “Today, there are already over 3,700 CNG stations making CNG more accessible to the people. With the government aiming to reach 10,000 CNG stations across the country in the next few years, we expect the demand for CNG vehicles to remain strong,” Ayukawa said.
