maruti suzuki is all set to unveil its new Hyder-based SUV in the Indian market on July 20. Known as the ‘Vitara’, Maruti’s SUV is expected to be launched in August 2022. Based on the manufacturer’s Global-C platform, Maruti Vitara It will have an upmarket cabin and an impressive look packed with technology features.

The Maruti Suzuki Vitara will likely feature a sculpted hood, LED headlamps with DRLs, a hexagonal grille and a wide air vent. The side profile gets 17-inch alloy wheels, roof rails, auto-folding ORVMs and chrome finish around the windows. At the rear, the SUV will get LED tail-lamps, a window wiper and a shark-fin antenna.

The Hyryder-based SUV from Maruti is likely to get a head-up display and a panoramic sunroof. The cabin of the SUV will come with a host of features, such as a 9.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system with latest connectivity options, a 6-speaker Arkamys audio system, ambient lighting, leather seats and auto climate control.
For the safety of the passengers, the Maruti Vitara will be equipped with multiple airbags, cruise control and rear-view camera.

Powering the Maruti Suzuki Vitara will be either a 103hp 1.5-litre mild-hybrid petrol engine or a 115 hp 1.5-litre strong-hybrid petrol engine. Both the engines will come with either a manual or automatic transmission unit. In addition, the SUV will get an all-wheel-drive system.

We expect the Maruti Suzuki Vitara price in India to be slightly costlier than the recently launched Maruti Suzuki Brezza, which is available at a starting price of Rs 7.99 lakh (ex-showroom). The SUV will be sold through Nexa dealerships and deliveries will begin during the festive season. When launched, it will compete with the Skoda Kushak, Volkswagen Taigun, Hyundai Creta and Kia Sonet in the midsize SUV segment.
