Maruti Suzuki pledges ₹11000 cr for new MFG facility in Sonipat

India’s largest carmaker Maruti Suzuki has completed the space search for a new manufacturing facility. The carmaker today completed the process of allotment of land for an 800-acre plot at Kharkhoda in Haryana’s Sonipat district.

discuss with Haryana Government In view of the increasing congestion in the area, it was some time to finalize a location to relocate Maruti’s Gurgaon manufacturing facility with an annual capacity of about 700,000 units on the outskirts of the city.

“The first plant with a manufacturing capacity 250,000 vehicles per year are expected to be commissioned within the year 2025 subject to administrative approval. Investment will end in the first phase 11,000 crore”, the company said.

The site will have room for capacity Expansion To include more manufacturing plants in future, it added.
