Maruti Suzuki recalls over 9,000 units of Wagon R, Celerio, Ignis

India’s largest carmaker Maruti Suzuki on Saturday announced that it has recalled 9,925 units of Wagon R, Celerio and Ignis that were manufactured between August 3 and September 1, 2022.

The company said that the fault has been detected in the rear brake assembly pin. maruti suzuki He said that keeping in mind the safety of the customers, it has been decided to recall the vehicle for inspection and the defective part will be replaced free of cost.

“It is suspected that there is a potential defect in the rear brake assembly pin (‘part’), which in a certain case may break and produce a peculiar noise. This is likely to have an impact on brake performance in the long run. Maruti Suzuki in its BSE filing said, “Keeping in mind the safety of the customers and taking utmost care, the company has decided to recall the suspect vehicles for inspection and replacement of the defective part.”

The company said that arrangements for replacement are being made and maruti suzuki Authorized workshops will contact customers to participate in their vehicles.

Maruti Suzuki on Friday reported a more than four-fold jump in standalone net profit year-on-year (YoY) for the quarter ended September 2022 2,062 crore.

The company’s revenue for the quarter grew by nearly 46 percent 29,931 crore while the total sales volume for the quarter stood at 517,395 units, up 36 per cent over the previous year.
