Ranchi: After a gap of two years due to the pandemic, Muslims on Tuesday celebrated Eid-ul-Fitr with full enthusiasm. Thousands of devotees thronged the Idgah and mosques to offer prayers and greet each other. Governor Ramesh Baiso And Chief Minister Hemant Soren also greeted the people on the occasion and wished them prosperity.
Bais said, ‘I congratulate the people of the state on the occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr. I pray that this festival brings happiness in your life and also strengthens the spirit of unity and brotherhood. “I hope people are healthy, happy and prosperous,” the CM said.
Maulana Qutubuddin edar e sharia, JharkhandHe said that the festival was celebrated with social harmony throughout the state. “After a gap of two years, devotees celebrated the festival with gusto as restrictions related to the pandemic have been lifted. Many people working outside the state along with family members came home to enjoy the festival.
Philanthropist Kashif Khan said, “Since all restrictions have been lifted, the turnout was very high.”
In the 70 small and big mosques of Jamshedpur, there was a crowd of people having fun in new clothes since early morning. In Ranchi, devotees offered prayers at around 70 Idgahs and mosques including those located in Doranda. hilly plain, Harmu, Hindpiri, Karbala Chowk, Manitola, Kantatoli and Tharpakna. After the namaz, people hugged and congratulated. Many devotees said that they prayed for the country’s peace and progress.
Markets were buzzing with activities since the eve of the festival on Monday, with milk booths, vermicelli shops, mutton and chicken shops thronging buyers. Addressing a gathering at Harmu Idgah, Maulana Asghar Misbahi said, “An attempt is being made by some people to spread social discord in the country. We have to respond to them by spreading harmony.” A fair was also organized at Karbala Chowk where children gathered in large numbers to enjoy swings.
In both Ranchi and Jamshedpur, the district administration deployed security forces at mosques, Idgahs and other sensitive places in Ranchi since morning. Police patrolling has also been intensified in the state capital. The Central Muharram Committee congratulated the people of the state for celebrating the festival in a peaceful atmosphere.
