A cleric of Ajmer Dargah, who allegedly offered his house on camera to those who beheaded suspended BJP spokesperson Nupur Sharma for his controversial remarks against Prophet Mohammad, has been arrested. The police gave this information on Wednesday. Ajmer Police had registered an FIR against ‘Khadim’ Salman Chishti on Monday night.

“Salman Chishti was caught last night (Tuesday)… He is a history-sheeter in the Dargah police station,” an officer said. In the video, the cleric is purportedly seen and heard announcing that whoever brings Sharma’s head to him, will gift his house to him. Chishti is also reportedly heard saying that he would shoot the Prophet for insulting him.

“You have to answer all Muslim countries. I am saying this from Ajmer, Rajasthan, and this message is from Huzur Khwaja Baba’s court,” he says in the video, purportedly referring to the Sufi shrine, where many Hindus Visitors come. Altogether five people have been arrested in connection with the murder, which is being probed by the National Investigation Agency.
