“The All India Senior Selection Committee has included Mayank Agarwal in India’s Test squad for the rescheduled fifth Test as cover for captain Rohit Sharma, who tested positive for COVID-19. Mayank of the UK Have left for Birmingham and will join the team,” BCCI said in an official release.
Rohit Sharma played against Leicestershire in the tour game. He scored 25 runs in India’s first innings but did not bat in the second innings. The BCCI confirmed that he had tested positive on Sunday.
