MCC adds more medical college seats for NEET mop-up round

Medical Consultative Committee (MCC) has added new seats in National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) 2021 Mop-up round of counselling. New MBBS seats have been added at Krishna Institute of Medical Sciences, Karad, Pandit Raghunath Murmu Medical College, Baripada Odisha and Gajra Raja Medical College, Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh. Moreover, a total of 15 BDS seats have been added in Government Dental College, RIMS, Cuddapah.

A total of 50 seats, including eight NRIs and 42 paid seats, have been added in Krishna Institute of Medical Sciences. In Pt Raghunath Murmu Medical College, four seats have been added, including two for unreserved category candidates, one each for OBC and ST. Whereas in Gajra Raja Medical College, three MBBS seats have been added with one seat each for UR, OBC and ST. “The Medical Counseling Committee has received information from the following institutions regarding new seats which could not be contributed by the college due to late receipt of Letter of Permission (LOP) i.e. after the start of Round-2 of UG Counseling 2021 or those who could not contribute their seats within the stipulated time,” the official notice read.

Online registration process for NEET 2021 mop-up round is underway at mcc.nic.in. Candidates can apply till tomorrow 14th March. Choice filling has started from March 11. The seats which are left vacant after two rounds of counseling process will now be filled through a mop-up round. Only already registered candidates can apply. The committee will not accept fresh registrations for the mop up round.

Those candidates who are out of counseling process after second round by forfeiting their fees can apply for mop up round. Apart from this, those who have not got a seat in Round 2 can also register. Also, those who got a seat under the reserved quota but the admission was canceled during the document verification process and who were allotted a seat in round 2 but opted for upgrade, are eligible for this round. can apply.
