Meet India’s ‘Wan Parivar’

aShock, his wife Prabha Ashok and their four-year-old son Abijosh India’s ‘Wan Parivar’

He has been traveling across the country in his van for 100 days. They have covered a distance of around 15,000 kms, visited 28 states and 4 union territories so far.

His car is equipped with all the necessary things. It now has a stove with a cylinder, a 15-liter water can, bed, fan, light, torch and a tent, if the space they are in provides a place to stay.

But most of the days he slept in his car and took bath in the petrol bunk. In the first week of January, the family started from Tamil Nadu, before moving north to Kerala and Karnataka.

Even as he traveled and experienced different cultures he led a normal life with a set routine. Ashok drove the van, while Prabha handled the camera and Abijosh took over. They usually had their breakfast in the morning in a hotel or dhaba and took an hour break in the afternoon for both lunch and dinner.

Though there were some hurdles and challenges in this journey, they made sure to enjoy moments like a night under the stars in the Thar desert or their first snow in Kashmir.

He has also chronicled every major aspect of the journey on his YouTube channel.
