Meet Pebble, the Fox Terrier Who Is the World’s Oldest Dog at 22 Years

Pebble was born on 28 March 2000 which makes the dog 22 years 59 days old

Guinness World Records (GWR) has certified the 22-year-old Toy Fox Terrier as the world’s oldest dog. The dog, named Pebbles, was born on March 28, 2000 which makes the dog 22 years 59 days old, GWR said.

Pebble’s owners, Bobby and Julie Gregory, live in South Carolina in the United States and were looking at home last oldest dog news, Tobykith and realized that his dog was big. Speaking to Guinness Julie Gregory said, “Bobby was sitting on the couch and friends and family started calling and writing about a story they saw a 21-year-old dog getting the record for… when I saw Tobykeith’s story all over the news, so I applied.”

Pebbles joined the family in 2000 who were originally trying to find a larger breed of dog. But Bobby Gregory, looking for a dog, found a toy Fox Terrier behind him and ran along the enclosure every time he walked.

Talking to GWR, “It was the second love the two met,” Julie said.

Pebble was also a companion dog at one time, but unfortunately Rocky passed away in 2017 at the age of 17.

Together they had 24 pups in three different litters.

While Pebble is not the biggest fan of toys, he has once again found joy in his life by indulging in some of his most cherished pastimes.

“Pebble doesn’t have a favorite toy, but she likes to hang out under blankets,” Julie said.
