The Marxist Party (CPI-M) on Tuesday described West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee’s meeting with Bihar’s Naukar Kumar as the best, though it said that “Teesi is more anti-Left than anti-BJP”. MARCA state secretary Mohammad Salim said that each state has its own specificity of political scenario, and it (certainly) differs from the all-India situation. Asked about Banerjee’s meeting with Kumar, Salim said, “It’s the best start.” However, he said that the past performance of TMC needs to be looked into.
