mercedes benz launched today EQS 580 4Matic electric car in India at a starting price of Rs 1.55 Cr (All India Ex-showroom). It is the country’s first locally assembled luxury electric vehicle with an ARAI-certified range and the 14th ‘Made in India’ Mercedes-Benz model. EQS 580 joins EQC and AMG EQS 53 electric vehicles in the company’s lineup in India.
New Mercedes-Benz EQS The 580 is powered by a 107.8 kWh lithium-ion battery and has a four-motor setup. The car claims a range of up to 677 km (WLTP). 857 km (ARAI-certified) which also makes it the longest range EV in the country. The EV boasts 523 hp and 856 Nm of torque and claims 0-100 km/h of 4.1 seconds. The EV can be charged for 300 km (WLTP) in 15 minutes using a fast-charging station.
Like the Mercedes-AMG EQS 53, the EQS 580 EV gets a low-slung profile to help with its aerodynamics. It gets LED headlamps, frameless doors and 19-inch alloy wheels.
