The couple looked absolutely gorgeous in their beautiful outfit as they walked up the stairs hand in hand. Kim looked really resplendent in a Marilyn Monroe gold dress, while Pete Davidson stunned in a traditional black suit.

The outfit was one of Marilyn Monroe’s most iconic outfits, which she wore while singing “Happy Birthday” to US President John F. Kennedy in 1962. According to People, the costume is featured in Ripley’s Believe It or Not in Orlando, Florida! Speaking to Vogue correspondent La La Anthony on the red carpet, Kardashian spoke about the dress, saying, “Well, it’s Marilyn Monroe’s dress and it’s 60 years old and she wore it when she was president. sang ‘Happy Birthday’ to John F. Kennedy in 1962.” The owner of SKIMS continued, “I had the idea to try it and then they came up with armed guards and gloves.”

Kim Kardashian admitted, “I tried it and it didn’t fit me. I said, ‘Give me three weeks.’ I had to lose 16 pounds today. It was such a challenge. It was like a (movie) role. The beauty mogul worked wonders with the dress and channeled her inner Marilyn Monroe by dyeing her hair platinum blonde and braiding it into a sleek bun. The reality TV actor accessorised with intricate earrings made of exquisite diamonds and chose a white fur jacket that complemented the old Hollywood vibe and was in keeping with the gala’s theme, “gilded glamour.”

Marlene Monroe’s dress was designed by Jean Louis and originally cost US$12,000. The dress was reportedly so tight that it had to be sewn in before Monroe could wear it to sing for President Kennedy at a Madison Square Garden fundraiser on May 19, 1962. Icon wore the dress for just three months before she died. Ripley purchased the dress from Julian’s Auctions in November 2016 for US$4.81 million, making it one of the most expensive dresses in the world, as reported by People.
