The upcoming theme for this year’s gala is ‘Karl Lagerfeld: A Line of Beauty’, where guests are expected to showcase their outfits that reflect the late German fashion designer’s work and style. The theme for the 2022 Met Gala was “In America: An Anthology of Fashion” and the dress code was ‘Gilded Glamour’.
The theme resulted in incredible fashion moments, like Kim Kardashian wearing Marilyn Monroe’s iconic dress, Blake Lively revealing her magical dress on the Met steps, and stars wearing sequins, tulle, and corsets with dramatic headpieces. So, here are some of the best dressed celebrities of Met Gala 2022:
Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds
Blake Lively, co-host of the 2022 event, donned a copper Versace dress with a wrapped train, along with gloves, silver earrings and a crown. Her husband, Ryan Reynolds, was dressed in a black jacket and pants, as well as a white shirt and tie. On the red carpet, the actress quickly changed her outfit into a blue and copper dress from Versace, and swapped out her copper gloves for blue ones.
Alicia Keys
Alicia Keys embodied the vibrant energy of New York City in a stunning Ralph Lauren gown that was strapless and silver, paired with a black cape that showcased the city’s glittering skyline. Her husband, Swizz Beatz, also looked impressive in a white tuxedo designed by Ralph Lauren and matching Yankees letterman jacket and hat.
