Militants hurled grenades and escaped from the cordon of security forces in Jammu and Kashmir’s Shopian district. The police gave this information on Wednesday.
He said the security forces launched a cordon and search operation on Tuesday night following information about the presence of terrorists in the Kutpora area of Shopian.
During the operation, the terrorists threw grenades at the search party and retaliated. However, the terrorists escaped due to darkness, a police spokesman said.
