Formolo said the motive and details of any of the suspects were not immediately known. Police did not say what caused the deaths, but Formolo said there was no information to suggest there was any danger to the community.
“It’s important not to be shocked by the ongoing violence in our community. A terrible crime has happened again,” Acting Milwaukee Mayor Cavalier Johnson said in a statement Sunday night.
According to the medical examiner, the post-mortem was to be done on Monday.
“The recent acts of violence are a stark reminder of the work that still remains to be done to address the root causes of violent crime in our city,” said Milwaukee County Sheriff Arnell R. Lucas.
