Mini Mathur admits to being a “typical Indian mom” when it comes to cooking for kids

We all use leftover vegetables to make parathas and sandwiches. Aloo Gobi is one of those recipes that make the best stuffing for sandwiches. Our mothers cook, we cook and celebrity Mini Mathur cooks too. And wait, he made the sandwich the most classic way – on gas. sounds familiar? We have grown up eating toast and sandwiches cooked directly on the gas stove when sandwich makers and grillers were uncommon. Desi toasties have always won our hearts and looks like Mini Mathur still prefers her food that way.

Continuing the Indian kitchen tradition, Mini Mathur played a typical Indian mother and made a sandwich for her daughter Saira Kabir with last night’s aloo gobhi ki sabzi. He cooked the toasties in a stove-top sandwich toaster on gas, just like we all used to do in the olden times.

She shared a picture of the breakfast on her Instagram stories and wrote, “Are you even an Indian mom if you haven’t given your kid last night’s gas wala toastie with aloo gobi? Sorry @Sairahkabir.”

Mini Mathur should give herself a break as she doesn’t always find shortcuts in the kitchen. Most recently, she impressed us with her culinary skills by making homemade pasta. And not just regular pasta but a really fancy one. She also shared a photo of it on Instagram and revealed the dish: “Homemade pasta made with Sicilian tomatoes, fresh burrata and pesto infused oil with pomodoro sauce.” Check it out here.
