The Union Ministry of Rural Development on Wednesday signed an agreement with Patanjali Ayurved for marketing of products made by Women Self Help Groups (SHGs) under the flagship program of the Ministry, National Rural Livelihoods Mission.

As per the agreement, Patanjali Ayurved will not only market the products of women self-help groups but will also provide them an opportunity to get dealership and distribution of such products.

The agreement was signed on behalf of Patanjali in the presence of Union Rural Development Minister Giriraj Singh and General Secretary of Divya Yog Mandir Trust Acharya Balkrishna. “This agreement has been signed with an aim to help rural SHG women achieve an aspirational income of at least ₹1 lakh per annum,” said Mr. Singh.
