‘Ten Pledges’ will be a major feature of the Trinamool Congress (TMC) manifesto for Meghalaya, which will be released by general secretary Abhishek Banerjee on Tuesday along with Mukul Sangma and other state leaders.
TMC has already launched a campaign with ‘V’ card – promising Rs 1,000 to every woman – and MYE card – promising Rs 1,000 per month to youth. Party insiders say that while they will reveal these cards, they will also reveal the 10 pledges in the manifesto.
Sources said the party has done extensive research on Meghalaya in the last six months.

Sources say the focus area of the manifesto will be the economy, stressing on how like Bengal, the TMC can bring more projects and investments to Meghalaya. This would mean more job opportunities for the youth and start-ups.
Other pledges would include social security, farmers, health, education, civic amenities, music, sports, culture and tourism, traditional ADC institutions, coal mining etc.
