Internet users praised the courage of the mother elephant
Mothers are the epitome of valor and courage and no one can protect a child like a mother. She may even risk her own life to protect her child, and this sentiment transcends species. Such a strong tendency is found not only in humans but also in animals. One such video has surfaced on Twitter in which a mother elephant is seen fighting with a crocodile to save her child.
The video, shared on Twitter by Indian Forest Service officer Sushant Nanda, shows a fierce face-off between the elephant and the crocodile, as the latter tries to attack the baby elephant.
Sharing the video, Mr Nanda wrote, ‘The extent to which elephants can go to protect their calves is mind boggling. Here is a small incident. The crocodile had to surrender.

The video begins with a baby elephant taking a dip in dirty water while its mother looks on. Suddenly, a large crocodile emerges from under the water and attacks the calf. The female elephant pounces on the crocodile and crushes it, forcing it to surrender and run away.
Since being shared, the video has garnered nearly 51,000 views, 1,308 likes and tons of comments. Internet users lauded the elephant’s courage and many described the mother as the “omnipresent protector”.
One user wrote, “The crocodile has just escaped, otherwise all its insides will come out.” , The mother’s protective instinct in action.
A third said, “Intelligent, gentle, emotional creature,” while a fourth said, “Motherhood is beyond expectation.” To prevent the crocodile from harming any of her children, or … she has already lost a child to a crocodile in this place and is now seeking revenge.
