MP government’s medical education project: Amit Shah releases textbooks in Hindi for MBBS students – Times of India

Bhopal, Federation Home Minister Amit Shah Released textbooks in Hindi for three subjects on Sunday MBBS student as part of an ambitious project of Government of Madhya Pradesh To provide medical education in Hindi language.
Describing it as an important day in history, Shah said that Madhya Pradesh has become the first state in the country to start MBBS (Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery) course in Hindi.
Unveiling textbooks in Hindi on Medical Biochemistry, Anatomy and Medical Physiology subjects for MBBS students at a function held in Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh, he said, “This day will be written in golden letters in history.”
MP Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan And Medical Education Minister Vishwas Sarangi were present on the occasion.
Shah said that work is on to introduce technical and medical education in eight other languages ​​of the country.
He said that MBBS course in Hindi was started under the National Policy on Education and soon it will be started in other languages ​​also.
The Union Minister said that now the students of the country will not have any inferiority complex about not knowing the English language and they can study in their own language with pride.
He said that earlier there were 387 medical colleges in the country with a total of 51,000 seats. Now, under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, there are 596 medical colleges in the nation with an additional 89,000 seats.
The country previously had 16 Indian Institutes of Technology, and now the number has increased to 23, the number of Indian Institutes of Management (IIMs) has increased from 13 to 20, the number of universities has increased from 723 to 1,043 and the number of Indian Institutes of Information Technology Institutes (IIITs) from nine to 25, he said.
Similarly, the number of other national level institutions has also increased significantly, he said.
Shah praised Chief Minister Chouhan and Minister Sarang for playing a leading role in the country in starting MBBS course in Hindi and said that now students will be able to learn medical education in their own language.
The driving force behind this move, Sarang said on the occasion that a team of 97 doctors has prepared these text books in a mission mode to introduce courses in Hindi.
Chouhan said that technical words in these textbooks are written in Hindi in the same way as they are pronounced in English, as kidney is written as kidney.
The Chief Minister also said that students from rural areas who were unable to get medical education due to lack of knowledge of English would not be left behind and would be able to pursue MBBS courses in Hindi.
