We have a rare event which is coming from Heart of India, Madhya Pradesh. It is a parrot, which does not seem to be close enough to the company of children and has become fond of its friendly bond with them. A parrot lives in the Sharda Balgram forest in Gwalior and becomes friends with the students of Ram Krishna Vidya Mandir, a school in the vicinity of the forest.
The parrot joins the group of students on their way to school and back. The red-billed bird plays with the students on its way to the hostel and enjoys time in their company. “He comes every day when we leave for our school and sits on our shoulder or head. He plays with us all the way,” Vivek, one of the school’s students, told ANI.

Students also have a habit of meeting parrots everyday on the way. Ram Krishna Vidya Mandir superintendent Deepak Bedi said, “This parrot has been coming to him for a long time. As the children reach school, it flies over the hills and joins them on their way back to the hostel. The parrot plays with the students and eats their food.”
