Milwaukee (CBS 58) – Milwaukee police say a 9-year-old boy is in critical condition after accidentally shooting himself on Tuesday, October 26.
Authorities say the victim obtained a shotgun at a residence near Cornell at 21 and around 5:38 p.m. and inadvertently shot herself.
He was taken to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries.
Police say a 31-year-old Milwaukee man was arrested.
The criminal charges will be referred to the Milwaukee County District Attorney’s office in the coming days.
Milwaukee Police want to remind the public to keep firearms safe in an area out of reach of children by locking them with gun locks.
