MSU: Commerce faculty of MSU faced shortage of supervisors. Vadodara News – Times of India

Vadodara: Largest Faculty of MS University faculty of Commerce – Facing strange situation.
On the one hand, the faculty has announced the dates for the end semester examinations that will be conducted for the 3rd year Bachelor of Commerce students. But on the other hand, the faculty does not have enough teachers who can supervise the examinations.
The officials have announced that the faculty will conduct the end semester examination offline from May 13 for the third year commerce students. Sources said there are around 8,000 students in the faculty who will appear for the exams. Considering that 30 students will be sitting in each class to appear for the exam, the university will need around 220 invigilators.
But there are only 120 temporary teachers in the faculty who can be assigned the task of supervising the exams. A teacher with knowledge of the development said, “Since the university has less number of temporary teachers this year, there is a shortage of around 100 teachers, who would otherwise take over supervision.”
The faculty is hoping to manage the show by asking teachers from other faculties to pitch in for exam duties.
Faculty officials said that the university authorities have assured them that they will persuade temporary teachers of other faculties to take over the supervision duties in the commerce faculty.
“We have announced the exam dates only after getting assurance from the university authorities,” an official said.
