Multibagger Defense stock hits all-time high, climbs 140% this year

Bharat Dynamics Ltd shares hit record high Rallying over 2% intraday at 978 on BSE in early trading session on Monday. The stock has been on an upward trend for the past few sessions and has gained over 12% in the last five trading sessions.

Headquartered in Hyderabad, Bharat Dynamics Limited (BDL) was incorporated on 16 July 1970 as a Public Sector Undertaking under the Ministry of Defense, Government of India, engaged in the manufacture of guided missile systems and allied equipment for the Indian Armed Forces. was the basis.

BDL has four manufacturing units, three of which are located in the state of Telangana (Hyderabad, Bhanur and Ibrahimpatnam) and one in Andhra Pradesh (Visakhapatnam). As a part of its expansion plan, BDL is setting up a unit in Maharashtra’s Amravati to meet the growing demands of the armed forces, according to the company’s website.

The company recently made a deal 2,971 crore from the Government of India for the supply of Astra Mk-I Beyond Visual Range (BVR) Air to Air Missile (AAM) and related equipment for the Indian Air Force and Indian Navy. Notably, technology transfer from DRDO to BDL for production of Astra Mk-I missile and all associated systems has been completed and production is in progress at BDL.

In addition, the project will act as a catalyst for the development of infrastructure and testing facilities at BDL. According to the statement, the project will create opportunities for several MSMEs in aerospace technology for at least 25 years.

“The order book position is improving and we have been able to further consolidate our orders which are in various stages of finalization. We expect the order book 25,000 crore in the next 2 years,” Bharat Dynamics said in its 52nd annual report for 2021-22. Its order backlog is 55,333 crore by the end of June 2022.
