Mumbai: 24 hours water cut will start from today. List of affected areas

According to the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC), Mumbaikars will face water cuts in several areas today. The BMC said 24-hour water supply would be affected due to repair work at its water pumping stations in Bhandup and Pais Panjrapur campuses.

Officials said the replacement of the two 1,200 mm diameter sluice valves at the 1910 MLD pumping station of Bhandup complex is due next week as well as the replacement of the Stage 3 pump set at the Pais Panjrapur complex. The BMC also plans to prevent leakage in the 1,800 mm diameter water main.

Areas affected:

Maintenance work will also be done in Powai on October 26 and 27 from 10 am to 10 am to prevent leakage. As a result of this the water supply in K/East, S, G/North and H/East wards of BMC will come to a complete halt.

Along with this, areas of Chakala, Prakash Wadi, Ramakrishna Mandir Road, JB Nagar, Bagarkha Road, Kanti Nagar in East Ward, Dharavi Main Road, Ganesh Mandir Road in G North and Bandra Terminal in H/East ward will also be affected by water. cut.
